It is necessary for me to enclose receipts with my [?] to Lieut-Gov. in order to collect - please do so at your earliest convenience and oblige yours truly J.E. Spence [?] Prince Albert - P.S. if you can send Sandy Fidler up to Carrot River this week. Tim Meyers will go with him to Frenchman South of [?] Lake to get those fixed so as to [?] right 23 [?] Stony Creek will do well [?] Timmy. I have worked it thoroughly."

Letter reading "Lieutenant Governor's Office, Regina, N.W.T., July 1st, 1892. Enclos. and Regd. Sir: I am directed to inform you that His Honor the Lieutenant-Governor, having though it advisable to revise the existing list of Magistrates in the Territories, has been pleased, by Order dated this day, to cancel the appointments of all Justices of the Peace made previous thereto, excepting those Magistrates, who were residing within the Territories and outside the several Electoral Districts, the Inspectors of the North-West Mounted Police Force and two Magistrates resident in a remote part of the Cumberland District. His Honor has been pleased to issue a new Commission in your favor, which I enclose herewith. I also send forms of Oaths, to be taken either before His Honor or a Judge of the Supreme Court. Please acknowledge receipt, returning at the same time your old Commission. I have the honor to be, Sir, Your Obedient Servant, R.B. Gordon Secretary to Lieutenant-Governor. To Angus McKay, Esq. J.P. In parting with you I cannot but look back with satisfaction to the harmony that has existed between us and to the the zeal and energy you have displayed in carrying out my instructions.
