The death certificate reads: "This is to Certify that the records at Militia Headquarters show on the Twenty-fourth day of May 1915, 13061 Private Robert Baty, 5th Battalion, was killed in action." The certificate was issued by Militia Headquarters out of Ottawa, Ontario, signed March 2nd, 1917. The certificate was also signed by the Major General, Adjutant General.
