The water in this "tea kettle" was heated by lighting the small alcohol lamps (burners) underneath. The same type of burner was used by soldiers in he trenches during World War I. Loaned by Mrs. Millicent Harris (mother of Mac Harris)."

Mrs. Hall was 21 years of age when she came over with her husband."
