Image of an Aboriginal man on horseback. His name is Shaponic. According to the front of the photograph, he was ""an Indian of the Crooked Lake Reserve."" In the top left corner, the year 1908 is visible. This photograph is from a postcard. On the back, it reads, ""Just a few lines. I let you know I arrived home safe. Had a lovely time in Kelowna. The folks were disappointed you did not come on this excursion. I saw your father and mother. They were well…” The rest is indecipherable. It is addressed to a Mrs. Gilbert, who lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Image of an Aboriginal chief standing beside an oven. The Aboriginal chief's name was Chief Star Blanket. How the oven worked was one had to light a fire, and get the coals burning. The door was then shut until the temperature rose. One then had to take the coals out, and put the bread in to cook. The house in the background looks to be mud plastered. On the bottom of the photograph it says, ""Entered according to act of Parliament of Canada in the year 1885 by Prof. Buell in the office of the Minister of Agriculture.
