He has sent his painting "The End of the Portage" to Saskatoon. He asks $350 for it. He says to send it back to Toronto by mid-July if they decide not to purchase it because it may be sold to the city of Toronto. Mitchell says, however, that he would prefer to be in Saskatoon, as he is not "yet represented" in the West.
