Mitchell, Canadian artist, enclosing $125 for the painting "The End of the Portage." This is the first payment in a series of payments. Pyke also asks if Mitchell would provide some more information about the painting: "the aim of painting such a picture, the locality, subject taken and anything else you deem important to a group of students attempting to interpret you[r] excellent work."
