The object is made out of glass and paper. The CPR commenced its passenger service from Yorkton to Nipawin in 1924. Charles Ernest Irving was the CPR station agent from Sept. 1943 until he retired on December 12, 1952 having completed 40 years of active service. His wife Flora Irving had this photograph taken Sept 29, 1973 the day that the CPR station officially closed. The station was later sold to George Swanson and moved to his farm
