Letter from Principal to Mr. E. Wyly Grier, May 8, 1924
Letter from A.W. Cameron, principal of Nutana Collegiate, to E. Wyly Grier, artist of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, thanking him for the recommendation of Laura Muntz Lyall to paint the companion painting to Grier's "The Spirit of Youth." Cameron expresses his desire to have Miss Marion Long paint the picture of the collegiate girl, but hopes to attain one of Lyall's, as well. He also speaks of some of the criticisms that Grier's painting has received. Finally, he expresses his belief that once the collegiate girl painting is completed "the spirit of youth will be the most popular in our collection."
