Image of the home guard in Kisbey. These men came from Kisbey and the district around there. This photo was taken on the front steps of the Kisbey school. Sometime after this photograph was taken, in the late 1910s, the Saskatchewan government came out with an ordinance that took the rifles away from all home guards in Saskatchewan. One guy wrote into a local paper and said, ""How can they train without rifles, and be expected to do anything?”
