Transcript of audio excerpt (edited by Interviewer): "Now here’s another fairly interesting picture. This was taken in the next town of Kisbey. And it’s a home guard. It was taken in 1915 on the steps of the Kisbey school. And somewhere in my research, I came across an article or a letter that had been sent into the paper. Sometime shortly after this, the Saskatchewan government I think, or maybe it was the federal government, came out with an ordinance that took their rifles away. They were afraid there might be a fifth column type of thing take place with these home guards. And this guy wrote an article, and said, “How can they train without rifles, and be expected to do anything?”"
