“Archaeological digs of the officers privy behind the Commissioner’s Residence have uncovered a considerable cache of liquor bottles ranging from champagne to beer, perhaps an indication that one or all of the officers who occupied the Commissioner’s Residence like to conceal their drinking either from officers or from the enlisted men, or both.”
